Changes on the Horizon for 2026

So this Summer, I decided to become a certified nutrition coach. I know, you’re thinking, didn’t she already complete 6 years of schooling and countless college loans? Well, yes you’re correct.  But, I’ve always been a little obsessed with food. At breakfast I want to know what’s for dinner, and I’m always thinking of snacks. After years of experience helping patients manage complex medication regimens, I realized something crucial: while medications are essential, the root of many health issues lies in what we eat, how we live, and how we care for ourselves before we ever get to the pharmacy counter.  I became more interested with the science of food and how it affected my body.  When a program dropped in my lap, from a local woman owned business that I admired, I jumped at the opportunity.

Recently, I completed Part 1 of 2 of my certified nutrition coach test. Let me be honest, it was a bit trickier than I anticipated, and I think it was mostly nerves, because I passed with flying colors!

Why does this matter to you? Because I’m bringing together my pharmacy background with fresh, science-backed nutrition coaching skills to help you build sustainable, simple habits that support your health goals without overwhelm. No complicated diets or impossible routines, just real food, practical advice, and sustainable steps that fit into your busy life.

Here’s what this means in practice, and what I’ll help you focus on:

  • Whole-food nutrition: Eating real, plant-based foods that nourish your body and skin, boost energy, and reduce inflammation.
  • Hydration: Drinking enough water to keep your cells happy and your digestion smooth.
  • Movement: Incorporating exercise you enjoy, even if it’s just a daily walk or stretching.
  • Stress management: Finding ways to calm your mind, because chronic stress fuels chronic illness.
  • Restorative sleep: Prioritizing quality sleep to help your body heal and your brain reset.
  • Social connection: Building supportive relationships—because health isn’t just physical, it’s emotional and social too.
  • Reducing risky substances: Minimizing toxins like excess alcohol, processed foods, and environmental stressors.

Becoming a certified nutrition coach means I can offer you more than just advice, I can guide you with empathy, evidence, and a bit of humor to navigate real-life wellness challenges. I’ll still be peddling fruits and veggies backed by science with Juice Plus, and now I can also guide you through a step by step meal plan, help you obtain prepared healthy meals, and encourage fitness routines.  Remember, health is a journey and your best health is built one simple, sustainable step at a time.

Check out what we’re working on for 2026!
