It’s More Than a Fun Night Out
What started as a lot of ideas on paper has turned into a real event. We have our games ready, some terrific silent auction items, door prizes (including that walking pad I’ve mentioned), food and beverages, and a growing group of people from around the Lehigh Valley who will be joining us.
What I’m most looking forward to, though, is seeing the room come together. We deliberately designed the evening to make it easy to meet people without the usual pressure of “networking.” Play a game with someone. Bid against them on something you both want. Have a conversation. Maybe make a connection you wouldn’t have made otherwise.
And while we’re doing all of that, we’re raising money to support LaunchBox Ladies programs and the next Pitch Competition for women entrepreneurs.
So this time I am going to make the ask: If you’ve been thinking about coming, please register. Tickets are only $25, and I’d really love to see you there.
October 1 | 4:30–7:30 PM | Penn State Lehigh Valley

Lehigh Valley LaunchBox is an early-stage business accelerator program for entrepreneurs and a program of Invent Penn State. Working with a network of community and university partners, LaunchBox provides continuing support to small-business owners and entrepreneurs through business-development assistance, educational programming, legal and intellectual-property resources, mentorship, and specialized programs designed to help people start, develop, and grow their businesses.
The money we raise will help support the LaunchBox Ladies Pitch Competition, which gives women entrepreneurs an opportunity to share their businesses, get valuable feedback and compete for funding that can help them move those businesses forward.
