Cay Galgon Life House invites you to a special Mother’s Day gathering that honors mothers, mother figures, and everyone who supports and champions them. Join us for conversations, shared laughter and a catered lunch in the spirit of community that is at the heart of what we do at CGLH. We hope you will join us.
What to Expect: Four dynamic women will share their experiences navigating the joys and challenges of motherhood and womanhood. After each speaker, we open the conversation to include you, if you want to share or ask questions. Come ready to listen, reflect, and share your story. After the last speaker, all four women will be present for questions and open sharing.
Meet Our Speakers:
- Yamelisa Jimenez Taveras, M.A., ICAADC, ICCS, PhD Candidate, starts the conversation with a dilemma so many of us know firsthand: navigating the integration of life and work together, as mothers and women.
- Dr. Marcie Rolle, PhD, LPC, NCC, follows with a timely and essential message about how setting healthy boundaries can be a balm for mental health self-care.
- Paula Albanese, Executive Director of Cay Galgon Life House, will share the realities of regional pregnant women and mothers of babies who navigate housing, food, and financial insecurity, and what it means when our community shows up for them.
- Vanessa Rivera, CENTURY 21 Realtor®|Silver Award Winner, brings it home with an inspiring look at women who reinvent themselves by pivoting and embracing a 2.0 life reboot.
Lunch Is Included: Enjoy a beautiful spring buffet: crustless quiche, finger sandwiches, fresh rolls, garden salad, seasonal fruit, cookies, brownies, and beverages (coffee, iced tea, and lemonade).
Tickets: Tickets are $25 per person. We expect to sell out, so register early! Everyone who attends will receive a door prize raffle ticket.
Support Our Donation Drive: Bring a donation item to give back while you celebrate. CGLH needs toiletries for the women and babies they serve: shampoo and conditioner for textured hair, body wash, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, and diaper cream.

Be part of the story: On May 1, 2026, we gather in the shared hope that every mother and child in our community finds their path toward stability and self-sufficiency.
