I’m Not Giving Up—I’m Letting Go

There comes a time when you have to pause and take a real look at what you’re pouring your energy into—and whether it’s pouring anything back into you.

Lately, I’ve been doing everything I can to create change in my community. I’ve tried to understand what’s needed, to give my all, and to be present in ways that uplift and inspire. But in the process, I’ve run myself empty. I’ve found myself burnt out, emotionally drained, and off balance—giving every day and receiving very little in return.

And now, I’m coming to terms with something important: I’m doing too much in places that aren’t giving back.

I’m not giving up on my vision—Imperfection is Beautiful will always be a part of who I am. But I am letting go of the need to control every outcome. I’m quitting the hustle that leads me down the same path of frustration. I’m quitting the habit of showing up for people who don’t show up for me.

I’m done trying so hard for a community that doesn’t want to try as hard for itself.

And you know what? That’s okay.

I’m no longer setting unrealistic expectations for myself or others. I’m choosing to speak up about what I see instead of staying silent to make others comfortable. I’m letting go of the pressure to be everything, every day, to everyone.

I’m not giving up on myself—
I’m giving myself permission to protect my peace.

I know the power I hold in my voice, in my art, and in the impact I’m capable of making. I know that my time, energy, and heart are valuable—and from now on, I’m choosing to honor that.

This isn’t about quitting in the way we’re taught to fear. It’s about choosing to quit the things that drain us, the roles that silence us, and the patterns that no longer serve us. Quitting, in this sense, is a form of self-love. It’s making space for what actually matters.

So if you’re in a similar place, here’s your reminder:
You’re allowed to quit what’s hurting you.
You’re allowed to choose yourself.

This is not the end.
This is the beginning of doing things differently—with purpose, with boundaries, and with clarity.
