February: The Month of Self-Love

While February is often associated with celebrating love between couples, it doesn’t have to be limited to that. This month can be a wonderful opportunity to focus on giving yourself more love and care. Remember, in order to love others fully, we must first love ourselves. Self-love is something we can practice every day, and it’s an ongoing journey.

To incorporate more self-love into your life, I personally start each day and end each night with positive affirmations. Begin your morning with a kind, uplifting thought—something simple like, “I am enough,” or “I am worthy of love and happiness.” You can even write these affirmations on sticky notes and place them where you'll see them frequently—like on your mirror, desk, or phone.

Taking time for activities that nurture your well-being is another way to show yourself love. Whether it’s a warm bath, a skincare routine, or reading your favorite book, it’s important to carve out time in your day for relaxation. Even if it’s just a few minutes, make space for these moments of self-care.

These small practices are just the beginning of embracing self-love.
